As a mom, I love using my crockpot! I think my crockpot and Uber Eats were the only way a hot meal was guaranteed every night when my children were newborns. I love to make all kinds of things in it but I feel like sometimes crockpots can get a bad rap. You can absolutely make gourmet meals in your crockpot that will impress your friends and family. I feel like in a lot of recipes the magic is in the simmering. If you’re up for a culinary adventure, here’s a great list of fancy meals you can in your crockpot or slow cooker.
Coq Au Vin is a classic French recipe meaning chicken in wine. If you’re a Julia Child fan, you may have heard of this recipe before. Your crockpot comes in handy here because the wine braises the meat slowly.
While we’re talking about classic French recipes, let’s also talk about Chicken Chasseur. It is another delicious chicken stew with a great rustic French flavor.
This white wine and garlic pork loin is incredibly delicious and so easy to make. I love this recipe because all I have to do is throw everything in my crockpot.
Chicken cacciatore is another favorite of mine. Serve it was hot toasted garlic bread and an Italian red wine for extra pzazz.
This copycat beef brasato recipe is one of my all time favorite gourmet crockpot recipes. Beef brasato is a type of Italian beef that tastes best if slow cooked. The fresh rosemary and bold red wine used to make this stew provide an amazing combination of flavors.

It’s amazing what you can do in a crock pot! I think that’s what we call a slow-cooker here in the UK!
yum!!! I love my crockpot but have recently got an instantpot so I always forget about my crock! thank you for the reminder!
These look so tasty! The white wine and garlic pork loin is definitely going on my new recipes to try this year!
I an excited about this post. I love to cook and it was one of the ways I showed my husband I loved him. Since having my son and starting a business, plus working full time, I haven’t had as much time to cook. These meals will help me show my love with less of the time investment that nice meals require.
