Easy Apple Crisp
I love to make this recipe on weekend mornings as part of brunch. Most of the time, if I have apples then I have everything else I need on hand as well and I make this recipe the “lazy” way.
3 to 4 medium apples
3 tablespoons of melted butter
3 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup of oats
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and then dice your apples into small pieces. Grease an oven safe dish and combine diced apples, lemon, melted butter, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
Mix well and then add the remaining butter, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon.
Bake at 350 degrees for ten minutes before pulling the dish out and mixing the ingredients around. Bake for another ten to fifteen minutes or until the apples are soft.
