Whether you live in The Woodlands area or are visiting The Woodlands, you should definitely visit The Woodlands Church play place! This is a great place to bring children who need to get some energy out. Your kids will absolutely love this huge indoor play place! Oh, and did I mention The Woodlands Church play place is free? Yup, free!
The Woodlands Church play place is located at 1 Fellowship Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Note that there is a small chapel closer to Gosling and this is NOT where the play place is located. It is located in the main campus by the cafe and bookstore. You can enter through the doors by the fountain and outdoor cafe tables.
Toddlers Section
I love to bring my kids here. It gets so hot here in Texas and I love that I can take my toddlers here to get some of their energy out during the week, especially during the summer. It is a wonderful free activity.

Again, The Woodlands Church play place is completely free! The play place is open to toddlers all the way up to age 12. There are two different sections to The Woodlands Church play place. The first section is for small toddlers and the second is for bigger kids.

Big Kids Section
The second section for the bigger kids goes up several floors with eight different levels! It’s huge!

Coffee Shop
This momma loves her coffee and they have a coffee shop! You can easily order a latte and sip on it while your kids play. Their coffee is imported from Haiti and is fair trade. If I remember correctly, it specifically supports people in Haiti and ministries there. They also have yummy cookies and baked goods (selections rotate throughout the week). They also serve smoothies, hot chocolate, as well as sandwiches and other items for lunch.

No purchase from their cafe is necessary to play in their play place but it’s there if you want to use it. They also have a ton of tables, high chairs, and booster seats if you need to stop and take snack break or eat lunch.

Fair Trade & Book Store
I absolutely LOVE their fair trade / book store. It is right next to the play ground. Be sure to take a browse for great toys, books, jewelry, coffee, decor, dishes, and more! The store is meant to break the cycle of poverty and empower those who need a job, all around the world. You can read about who makes what you’re buying as you browse the store. You’ll be shopping for such a good cause if you choose to buy anything. I highly recommend taking at least a quick browse through, especially since it’s for such a good cause. I personally love to buy Christmas gifts from their store.

Wow this looks like a blast! My kids love play places like this.
I’m absolutely jealous you have the Woodlands Play Place. Having an activity centered indoor option would be great where I live, since at this time of the year its rainy and cold. I need to check to see if anything like this does exist close to my house. Kudos to your community.
Looks like a really awesome place where kids can have fun and the adults can chill out!
Yes!! I love to chill out and drink a coffee while my kids play. They even have a really high table to put your drink so you can watch your kids closely but still not bring your food or drink in which is cool.
Such a cool place for the kids to play! I wish my area had something like this!
Wow! This place looks fantastic!! We have an indoor play structure in the next town over but it doesn’t compare to what you guys have there!
It really is amazing and it’s so nice that it is free too!
Wow! This is seriously an impressive play place! More like a palace! My children would love to go here.
Really cool. My sons loves places like these. There are a few we attend in the NC mountains. So great for moms to chill while your kids play.
That looks like a fun little place for kids with some yummy goodies for adults. And the fact that’s it’s free is such a huge bonus. It’s so rare to find places like these for free.
My daughter would love this playground! And the snacks in the coffee shop look so tasty!
Wow I wish we had a place like this! Looks so clean!
I have to add The Woodlands Church Play Place on my to visit list. We are always looking for a free place to get some energy out when we are visiting different areas. Thank you for the tip!
Wow what a wonderful thing this church is doing! So nice that they offer this for free for families to use throughout the week. We need more places like this. They can be so expensive.
I know the paid ones are really expensive especially if you have more than one kiddo! It is so nice to have a free and fun activity like this in our area.
My daughter is so playful and loves crawling into places. This would be a great place for her in a year or so! She’s still a toddler at the moment so we’re look in h for places to take her for the upcoming spring! 🙂
This place is a blast! FIrstly I thought how much both our kids will enjoy, but then when I saw the coffe shop, I understand that the place is great for me as well
