These protein rice crispy treats are not only delicious but so easy to make. They are loaded with tons of extra protein! They make for a wonderful high protein snack.
16ouncesmini marshmallows(set aside one cup to mix with the cereal)
1cupprotein powderI recommend vanilla or toffee caramel flavor
1pinchsalt
Instructions
Grease a 9 x 9 inch pan.
To make this recipe, begin by melting the butter in a pot on your stove-top. Add the pinch of salt to it.
While the butter melts, measure out your cereal and one cup of the marshmallows (do not melt these). Combine them in a large bowl and set aside for later.
Next, stir in the bag of the marshmallows (minus the one cup) with the melted butter. Stir and cook on low until well combined.
Reduce the heat and add the protein powder a little bit at a time while stirring. Stir until it is well combined.
Pour over the cereal and marshmallows in the large bowl.
Stir well with a spatula until everything is combined and then transfer to a well greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Gently pat them down, too much pressure will make them tough.
Let sit for at least one hour before cutting and serving.
