  • Large pot or dutch oven

  • 1 can biscuit dough (I used a ten count)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • oil for frying
  • powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

  • Begin by opening the package of biscuits and separating them.
  • Using a small knife cut a small hole in each of the biscuit and set aside the extra dough for doughnut holes.
  • Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  • Heat some oil in a large pot on the stove top to about 350 degrees.
  • Fry two donuts at a time for about one minute per side or until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.
