Crockpot Mild Beef Chili with Beans

This crockpot ground beef chili is very mild but it is still a very tasty chili. It is the perfect recipe to toss in your crockpot.

For the chili

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 white onion finely chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can garbanzo beans or white beans
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can diced tomatoes in juice do not drain
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano


  • sour cream
  • shredded cheddar
  • diced onion
  • corn chips or corn bread


  • Begin by spraying your crockpot with non-stick spray.
  • Brown your ground beef and then drain any fat. Add the beef, onion, and bell pepper to your crockpot.
  • Rinse the cans of beans and add them to the crockpot. Add remaining ingredients and spices and stir well.
  • Add 1/3 cup of water and then cook on low for six to eight hours. This recipe can be cooked longer if you need to leave it simmering while you're at work, just add 1/2 cup of water instead of just 1/3.
  • Serve with diced onions, shredded cheddar and sour cream on top of corn chips.
