all purpose flour

corn starch

baking powder

baking soda

unsalted butter
softened

pure vanilla extract

brown sugar
¼
cup
white sugar

large egg
1
egg yolk
in addition to the large egg

nutmeg

semi sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl combine the cornstarch, salt and flour. Mix well with a large spoon.
Next, add in the baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix well with a large spoon.
Add in the wet ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer.
Stir in the chocolate chips with a large spoon.
Let the dough chill for at least 30 minutes, preferably an hour.
Measure out your dough into balls (about 2 tablespoons).
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Insides will be gooey. If they are too gooey, let them rest on the baking sheet longer.
Notes
Be sure to chill your dough. If you skip chilling the dough, your cookies may turn out too flat.
