Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 3 medium apples peeled and chopped into small pieces
  • 1 ¼ cups vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Combine the dry ingredients and then mix well with a large spoon.
  • Next, add eggs, oil, vanilla, and water. Mix well with a hand mixer then add the apples in.
  • Stir in nuts, if desired.
  • Use a spatula to evenly distribute the batter into the 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.
