If you love the chocolate chunk cookies from Chic Fil A then you'll love this recipe for copycat Chic Fil A cookies. They're amazing right out of the oven with a big glass of cold milk!
In a large mixing bowl, combine your dry ingredients (flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, and oats). Stir well with a large spoon.
Next, add in your wet ingredients (softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract). Mix well with a hand or stand mixer until everything is well combined. The dough may seem crumbly but this is normal.
Stir in the chocolate chunks (or chocolate chips) with a large spoon.
Cover and let chill for at least one hour in your refrigerator.
Add very large dough balls (about ¼ cup) to a greased or parchment paper (not wax paper) lined baking sheet. Leave room for the cookies to spread some.
Bake for 13 to 17 minutes at 350 degrees. Let them rest on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before transferring.
Notes
Be sure to chill your cookie dough or the cookies may come out too flat.
You can either grease a cookie sheet or use parchment paper (NOT wax paper).
If you can't find chocolate chunks, chocolate chips will work just fine in this recipe.
Make sure your oven is fully preheated before baking the cookies.
