  • Fish shaped cookie cutter
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup salt
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 5 drops blue food coloring you may need more or less depending on the brand of food coloring you use. Always start with just a few drops.

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 200 degrees. Next, in a large bowl add the flour, salt, and warm water.
  • Add a few blue food coloring drops at a time until you reach the desired colored.
  • Mix all the ingredients with a large spoon until well mixed. Next, roll the dough out on a clean table or surface and flatten it with your hands. If desired, spray your hands with a little cooking spray to avoid the dough sticking.
  • Have your child use the fish shaped to create your fish.
  • Next, spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray (I also used aluminum foil for an easier cleanup).
  • Using a toothpick or straw poke holes towards the top of your fish so that you'll be able to poke a string through your ornament later to hang it up.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for two hours.
  • Once your fish ornaments are done baking and cooled. Add the googly eyes and sequins using a hot glue gun.
