Instructions
Begin by preheating your oven to 350° and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper (not wax paper) or greasing it.
In a large mixing bowl, cream your sugar, brown sugar, butter (at room temperature), and vanilla extract together with a hand or stand mixer.
1 cup unsalted butter (two sticks), 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add in the eggs, oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well combined but do not over mix.
2 large eggs, 1 ½ cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, ¾ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 3 cups quick oats, ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Stir in the chocolate chips with a large spoon.
1 cup chocolate chips
Using a large cookie scoop, drop the dough onto your baking sheet. Leave room for the cookies to spread.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Once removed from the oven and while the cookies are still soft, quickly add the pretzels for the antlers, candy eyes, and M&M nose. If you wait too long, the pretzels won't stick to the cookies. Let the cookies rest for about 10 minutes before transferring.

Let the cookies set on the tray for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature. If it is any softer, it can cause the cookies to spread too much.
