Instructions
Begin by spread wax paper over a large baking sheet or tray. Next, add straws or sticks to the ends of your marshmallows.
15 jumbo marshmallows
Next melt, your chocolate in a double boiler or a microwave safe dish. For the double boiler, I recommend heating on low and stirring frequently. If microwaving your chocolate wafers, I recommend reducing the heat to low or half and pausing to stir. This will help to avoid scorching the chocolate (see note*).
8 ounces melting chocolate
Dip your marshmallow in the chocolate and use a spoon or small spatula to cover it with chocolate. Quickly poke in the pretzels to the sides to create the ears.
30 pretzel pieces
Place on the wax paper and add the candy nose and candy eyes before the chocolate sets.
30 candy eyes, 15 heart shaped gummy candies
Repeat for however many treats you'd like to make. Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
Notes
Store any leftover marshmallow treats in an airtight container. They will be good for up to five days after making.8 ounces of chocolate should be enough for at least 15 treats, if not more. *Not all microwaves may have a low or half power feature. I recommend doing 20 second intervals and stirring frequently if you don't have these settings.Any nutritional information is an estimate by online calculators. Please verify using your own data.
