These Copycat Texas Roadhouse Green Beans are fast, simple, and taste just like the restaurant version you know and love! They're perfect as a side dish for a weeknight dinner or even fancy enough to make for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
2canscut green beansabout 14.5 ounces each - drain well
1cuphot water
2teaspoonsham base*see note
2teaspoonssugar
¼cupwhite onionfinely diced
½teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoonwhite pepperor to taste

Instructions
Begin by frying your bacon in a large skillet. Fry it until it's crisp and then set the bacon on paper towels to drain the fat. Let it cool.

Drain the bacon grease from the pan leaving just a little and cook your onion in the bacon grease until translucent.
¼ cup white onion
Add the ham base to one cup of hot water and whisk until well combined.
1 cup hot water, 2 teaspoons ham base
Once your bacon is cool, chop it into small pieces and it back into the pan. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low for about fifteen minutes.
