We had a lot of fun with these popsicle templates. My kids were entertained and we were able to do several different versions with water colors, tempura paint, and puffy paint. I think regular colors and glitter would also be fun too.
Fun ideas on how to use these templates
I love using watercolors because they’re not messy like traditional paint. Plus, watercolors look really nice on this popsicle printable!
Puffy paint (with instructions)
The next project we did with this template was puffy paint. My kids loved making puffy paint popsicles.
To make puffy paint combine equal parts non-toxic white glue and shaving cream and a few drops of food coloring. Any brand will do. I usually use about ¼ cup of both shaving cream and glue then add a few drops of coloring until it is the right color.
I recommend you put some newspaper or scratch paper down because the puffy paint can seep through regular paper.
Tempura paint sticks
Another way we used this template was by using tempura paint sticks. My kids love using these paint sticks to do art projects with and so do I. I love them because they’re not messy like traditional paint.
