For this recipe, you will need:

  • Sugar: To sweeten the dressing.
  • Apple cider vinegar: For the dressing for the broccoli salad.

  • Broccoli florets: You’ll need 3 ½ cups of broccoli florets or one medium head of broccoli chopped.
  • Sharp cheddar: I recommend grating it yourself, if possible.
  • Mozzarella: You will need a little bit of shredded mozzarella.
  • Bacon bits: You can also fry your own bacon, if desired.

For this recipe, you will need a large bowl, whisk, and a spoon.

Recipe instructions

step by step guide on how to make Copycat Chicken Salad Chick Broccoli Salad

In a bowl combine the sugar and apple cider vinegar. Stir in the mayonnaise and whisk together. Whisk until smooth.

Add the broccoli then stir well.

Add cheese and bacon bits on top. Refrigerate for a few minutes before serving.

Tips

  • I think Duke’s mayonnaise will give you the closest taste to Chicken Salad Chick.
  • Shred your own cheddar if possible.
  • You can fry your own bacon instead of using bacon bits, if you prefer.

How to store leftovers

Store any leftovers in your fridge in an airtight container. The salad will be good for up to three days after making.

Very good! I only used 1 tbsp sugar and substituted red wine vinegar because I don’t like apple cider and did not have rice vinegar like many suggested. It was still yummy and tasted just like the original, for maybe 1/10 of the price!

Thank you for sharing this recipe. I also used rice vinegar instead of the apple cider vinegar, it added just a bit more sweetness. But either way, super easy and delicious! Easy to meal prep during the week!

Recipe says 4 servings, I put away 2 small Rubbermaid containers, not sure how much they hold.

I LOVE Chicken Salad Chick’s broccoli salad and I eat it a lot. I made this recipe and it was very close, but still seemed “off”. I then remade the dressing with a change. I suggest the one alteration that I made – use rice vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar. I used Dukes mayo, as suggested, as well a superfine granulated sugar (baker’s sugar) The sugar dissolves in the vinegar much faster. Anyway, with the rice vinegar – it’s exactly the same to me as the original!
