This Chicka Chicka tree printable is such a fun activity to do after reading the book. This is a great alphabet activity to do at home when you’re looking for a structured activity, in a homeschool preschool group, or for preschool classrooms. It is super easy to set up to!

My son is borderline obsessed with the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. So much so, I think at only two years old he has most of it memorized. It is such a great book!

🌴 How to do this activity

Doing this activity is super simple and a lot of fun. You’ll need to print out the free printable below (press the black download button). Create your stickers by writing the alphabet on them. Then read the book and have your toddler or preschooler match up all the letters to those on the tree afterwards.

You can make it more challenging by matching lowercase stickers to the uppercase letters on the printable.

If you are able to check the book out from your local library that would also be a great option. Since my kids love the book so much, I wanted a copy we could read any time we wanted. It is one of our favorite books that we read all the time.

    My son I also obsessed with this book. We read it daily for at least year. I hadn’t thought about ways to extend it with an activity before now. We talk him sign language for high frequency words, but didn’t do the alphabet. You’ve given me a lit to think about and implement.
