🎅 Why you’ll love this craft

  • It’s SO easy to set up.
  • It is low mess.
  • Kids will love making their own decorations!

💬 What supplies are needed to make this paper plate wreath craft?

  • Printed ornaments (see free printable below)
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • Paper plates

🖍️ Do I have to use crayons on my paper plate?

You don’t have to use crayons for this Christmas craft. You can also use paint, markers, or colored pencils for this activity. I prefer to use crayons whenever possible because they’re a lot less messy than paint. Plus, it’s less to prep and a lot less clean up.

📋 How to do this craft

Begin by downloading and printing the free ornaments printable below. Have your child color their ornaments with their desired colors of choice using crayons or markers.

While they are coloring the ornaments, cut out the middle part of a dinner sized paper plate. When they are done with the ornaments, let your child color their paper plate ring green.

While they are coloring the plate, cut out the ornaments for them. Either tape or glue the ornaments on their plate for them when done.

🎄 Tips for this craft

You can also print additional sheets of ornaments and cut them out beforehand to make the process faster. Adding Christmas themed stickers would also be a fun touch as well.

If you have older children they can also cut the ornaments themselves but since mine are still young, I cut and glue for them.
