Ingredients needed

ingredients needed to make Honey Peanut Butter Balls

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Oats: You can use quick or old fashioned.
  • Salt: You’ll need just half of a teaspoon of salt but you can skip the salt if you are sodium sensitive.
  • Cinnamon: To give the peanut butter balls some spice.
  • Honey: To sweeten the balls.
  • Peanut butter: I find that creamy peanut butter works best in this recipe. If you are using natural peanut butter, stir it well and you may need to add a few more tablespoons of oats.

Equipment needed

No special equipment is needed for this recipe, just a large mixing bowl and a spoon.

How to make

step by step guide on how to make Honey Peanut Butter Balls

To make these honey peanut butter balls, add your dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Stir well. Next, add in the honey and peanut butter.

Mix until everything is well combined. Scoop and form small balls (about 2 tablespoons).

Variations

  • You can add some fun mix ins like M&Ms, raisins, or craisins, if desired.
  • Add some chia seeds for an extra boost in nutrients.

Tips

  • Use regular creamy peanut butter instead of natural peanut butter.
  • If your mix is too dry just add a little more peanut butter.

How to store leftovers

Store any leftover balls in an airtight container at room temperature. They will be good for 4 days after making.

These delicious little gems are currently in my freezer, for when I need a sweet little treat. I had to freeze then, otherwise I would have eaten them all the same day!

Just what I needed! This was hay cutting and baling week so that meant long hours in the hay field. I made these yesterday and packed them in a cooler with some ice. They were perfect and kept me going without having to stop for a big lunch. I added some dried cranberries.
