Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because it is all about love! We are celebrating Valentine’s Day a little differently this year which is why I think this sheep themed Valentine’s Day activity is great. We were able to drop some off at our friends’ houses for them to do and we were able to do our own at home. I think this wool you be my Valentine card and craft would also be great to do in a preschool classroom or daycare setting.
I also really like this craft because its pretty low prep and low mess. The glue is really the only messy part but we had a damp towel ready in case any got on our hands. We also did this ASL activity for Valentine’s Day and these Valentine’s do-a-dot sheets which are also low mess and low prep activities. I’m a huge holiday fan so I always try to have lots of fun holiday themed activities for my kids. I’m the mom who goes all out every holiday!

⭐ Supplies needed for this Valentine’s Day craft
For this activity you will need:
- Pom poms
- Plastic baggies (to put the pompoms in, if giving out to friends or a class)
- Glue
- The printable sheep (see instructions below)
We used regular non-toxic white glue. I haven’t tried this activity with a glue stick but if you do please leave a comment and let me know if the pom poms stuck to the paper or not. The plastic baggies are totally optional but I suggested them in case you wanted to give them out with a few pom poms to your friends. We used a variety of colored pom poms but you could also just do red or pink ones for a Valentine’s Day themed sheep.
⭐ How to do this Valentine’s Day activity
To do this wool you be my Valentine craft, first gather your supplies. Next, add a few drops of glue to each circle (or if your child is old enough to do it themselves let them) and then have your child add the pom poms as desired. We found that the pom poms stuck better if we held them down for a few seconds. We held ours down and counted to four. Let the glue dry before hanging it up to display. Your child will be so proud of their adorable creation!
⭐ Other fun ideas
For this printable you could also use dot markers or dot stickers instead of glue and pom poms. You could also use cotton balls instead of pom poms if you have some lingering around your house.
