Summer is here and I have been working on lots of ways to keep my kids busy. I thought it would be fun if we did a Vacation Bible School at home. We have done a Daniel and the lion’s den activity, Fishes and Loaves with bread in a bag, Noah’s ark craft, and now this Joseph’s Coat activity.
⭐ The story of Joseph’s Coat for kids
We read about Joseph’s story in our Beginner’s Bible. We love this Beginner’s Bible and it is perfect for preschoolers who are not yet reading. I also really love the Bedtime Bible Story Book for older kids.
You can also use whatever Bible story book you have or just retell the story to your children if you find that easier. I kept the story very simple since my children are still really young.
⭐ How to do this activity
We had a lot of fun talking about the story of Joseph and doing this Joseph’s coat activity. My kids loved using our tempura paint sticks for this activity but you can also use markers, crayons, paint, or even glitter.
Let your child color or paint with different colors to design their very own Joseph’s coat of many colors.
