The creamed corn at Rudy’s is one of my favorite side dishes ever. I love to make this copycat version because it can easily be made in a crockpot or slow cooker which comes in so handy for potlucks, barbecues, and holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas!

🌽 What ingredients are needed for this recipe?
This recipe is so easy to make and you need just a few ingredients. To make this creamed corn, you will need:
- Frozen corn: You’ll need two bags (about 12 ounces each).
- Unsalted butter: Butter and corn just go together!
- Cream cheese: I used full fat cream cheese.
- Heavy cream: The heavy cream really gives this corn a restaurant quality taste.
- Sugar: To sweeten our corn.
- Honey (optional): If you want an even sweeter creamed corn add one tablespoon of honey.
- Salt and pepper: I recommend adding salt and pepper to taste.

Spray your crockpot or slow cooker with non-stick spray.
Add the corn. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Cook on low for 3-4 hours.

You can add two teaspoons of corn starch if you feel like your creamed corn isn’t thick enough.
For crockpot creamed corn, frozen is better. Canned or frozen both work in stove top recipes.

- 1 cup heavy cream
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 block cream cheese about 8 ounces

You could use your stove top to make it but I haven’t tried to make this recipe in the oven.

I love this recipe! I triple it, let it cool and put on freeze dryer trays to freeze and then freeze dry. When complete, I put in pint mason jars and air seal. I then have cream corn to eat any time I want and share with friends and family.
