The holidays are quickly approaching and I wanted to share a super easy appetizer idea with you. This Baked Burrata is the perfect blend of creamy and tangy and can be made in mere minutes. It is perfect on toasted bread like sourdough or a flatbread.

For this recipe, you will need:
- Burrata
- Marinara sauce: Use your favorite bold marinara sauce for this recipe. I used Rao’s. I recommend using marinara sauce and not pasta sauce.
- Fresh basil
- Red pepper flakes (optional): These are optional but add a really nice touch.
- Toasted bread: Serving the burrata on toasted bread is a must. Sourdough or a flatbread are really nice with this dish.
🍴Variations
You can add a few red pepper flakes, if you like. You could even serve this with mini meatballs for a heartier appetizer.
🔪 Equipment needed
You’ll need an 8 x 8 inch casserole dish.
⏲️ Recipe instructions (step by step guide)

Preheat your oven to 350 F degrees and spray a casserole dish with non-stick spray. Add your favorite marinara sauce (I recommend Rao’s or another bold marinara sauce) and the chopped basil (image 1).
Add the burrata to the middle of the dish (image 2). If you like you can red pepper flakes to taste.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until everything is nice and bubbly. Serve with toasted bread.

- Try adding mini meatballs to this dish for a heartier appetizer.
- Be sure to use marinara sauce and not just a pasta sauce. Marinara is better for dipping.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in your fridge. Leftovers will be good for two days after making.

- 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 ounces) use your favorite brand, I used Rao's
- 8 ounces fresh burrata drained
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil finely chopped
- red pepper flakes optional, add to taste
- toasted bread or flatbread for serving
Instructions
