❤️ Why you’ll love this recipe

  • Two ingredients: It doesn’t get much easier than that!
  • Tastes great: This is a regular staple at our house.
  • Kids can really help: This is truly a recipe that kids can help with and a great way for them to learn how to follow a recipe and measure things.
  • No yeast and no rise time: It can’t get much easier than this pizza recipe. There’s no yeast needed and no need to wait on the dough to rise.
  • Thin or thick crust: You can keep the dough thick for a thicker crust or roll it out with a rolling pin for a thinner crust. The pizza dough works well either way.
  • Customizable: Kids can pick out their toppings and create whatever type of pizza they want.

🥣 Ingredients needed

The ingredients needed to make the pizza dough.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

For this pizza, you will need:

  • Greek yogurt: Make sure you get a plain Greek yogurt and not a flavored one.
  • Self rising flour: I have made this recipe for my kids or with my kids many times now. I have had the best results with store bought self rising flour versus making my own self rising flour. Do not substitute another type of flour in this recipe or your dough will not turn out correctly.

You will also need pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, and any toppings you like.

🫑 Pizza topping ideas for kids

  • Pepperoni
  • Bell pepper
  • Pineapple
  • Cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • Cooked crumbled sausage
  • Red onion
  • Olives
  • Bacon
  • BBQ chicken
  • Mushrooms

🍕 Variations

  • White pizza: Try this pizza dough as a white pizza with Alfredo sauce and mozzarella.
  • Nutritional yeast: Try adding a little nutritional yeast to the dough before baking.
  • Toppings: Get creative with the toppings. You could even make this into a veggie lover’s pizza.

⏲️ Recipe instructions (step by step guide)

A step by step guide showing how to make an easy pizza recipe for kids.

Begin by preheating your oven to 500° F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.

In large mixing bowl combine the self rising flour and Greek yogurt (image 1). Knead the dough for about five minutes.

Separate the dough into about six equal sized balls. Press them down a little to flatten. Add pizza sauce, shredded Mozzarella, and toppings of your choice (image 2).

Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

👩🏻‍🍳 Tips

  • I recommend using regular self rising flour instead of making your own.
  • Have your child pick out their own toppings.

🥗 What to serve with this recipe

A fresh green salad is always nice with pizza or if you want a more kid-friendly option, fresh cut veggies with ranch are a great side. My kids really like this Copycat Texas Roadhouse Ranch.

🥡 How to store leftovers

You can store any leftover pizzas in an airtight container in your fridge. The pizzas will be good for up to four days after making.

I don’t recommend leaving the uncooked dough in your fridge longer than an hour or so. It will form a hard crust on the outside and won’t taste as good as freshly made.

📋 Recipe FAQs

What order do you put ingredients on a homemade pizza?

On the dough, you will put pizza sauce, cheese, and then toppings of your choice (such as pepperoni and mushrooms).

Can you freeze these pizzas?

If you have any leftovers, you can freeze them. Put them in a freezer safe food storage bag (such as Ziploc). They will be good for up to three months in the freezer
