This free Switch Witch Printable Letter is a cute way to let your kids know that the Switch Witch was here!

Have you heard of the Switch Witch? She’s a newer tradition that allows kids to swap some (or even all) of their candy for toys. She reminds me a little bit of the Tooth Fairy or Easter Bunny with her magical origins!

🍬 Who is the switch witch?
The Switch Witch is a fictitious character like the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy. She takes candy that kids leave out and brings back a toy. I would like to note that the tradition usually involves children voluntarily leaving candy out and not her stealing candy.
🧡Why use the switch witch
I personally use the Switch Witch to swap candies that have ingredients that one of my children has an allergy to. This avoids temptation and tummy troubles for us.
Other people may want to use it for certain types of candy, to limit the candy, or to just get the candy out of their house.
It can be very personal so you should do whatever you feel is best for your family. If you have a different way of using the Switch Witch, I’d love to hear how you use it in the comments below.
🎃How to set up
Have your child leave their candy out before bed. We usually just leave out what we have an allergy too and any candy my kids don’t enjoy.
Print the letter (the PDF is further below in the post) and set it out with a new toy for them.
⭐ Tips
- I recommend keeping the details to the minimum so kids don’t ask too many questions.
- We usually do the switch the night after Halloween since actual Halloween night is so exciting!
