I love making Amish recipes. They’re usually simple, tasty, and easy to make. I have to admit that I often have to scale the recipes down a bit since they’re usually intended to make quite a bit. This Amish pumpkin bread is absolutely amazing. It makes your kitchen smell like pumpkin spice and everything nice!

This recipe is great for so many reasons. First it’s great for kids or adults. It’s lovely with a cup of hot coffee or tea or as a gift to a neighbor. This recipe also freezes well and since this recipe yields two loaves you can enjoy a loaf now and then freeze one for later!

Pumpkin spice season is my favorite season but I love a good loaf of pumpkin bread almost any time of year. I also love that this recipe makes two loaves so that I can enjoy one and then gift one to a neighbor or friends.
Why are Amish recipes so good?
Like I mentioned before, I really enjoy Amish and Mennonite recipes. I used to love to go to thrift stores and look for vintage recipe books (what can I say? I’m a food blogger). I stumbled upon quite a few Amish cookbooks once and I’ve been a huge fan of Amish cooking and recipes ever since. Amish recipes are hearty, very tasty, and usually very easy to make.
How many loaves does this recipe make?

Can I freeze this pumpkin bread?
You can absolutely freeze this pumpkin bread. I recommend doing a double layer of aluminum foil if you’d like to a freeze a loaf. It’ll be good for up to three months in the freezer.
