Copycat Boston Market Cinnamon Apples are such an easy and delicious copycat side dish to make at home. You need just a few simple ingredients, a few minutes of prep, and then they’re off to the oven!

Boston Market was one of my favorite places to get to go food from when my son was a baby. We lived in Houston at the time and we would get a meal almost every other week when he was super little. I have a lot of favorites from there and I’m so sad there’s no longer a location in the Houston area. I wanted to recreate a few of my favorite recipes including their cinnamon apples.

- Versatile side: I love these apples for so many reasons! They’re kid friendly, a great side dish for many different dinners (especially pork chops), wonderful for a holiday side (I like to make them for Thanksgiving), perfect to serve with french toast or waffles, or you could even serve these apples with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream for a simple dessert idea.

For these apples, you will need:
- Apples: I have made this recipe a few times (my kids request these apples a lot) and I’ve used different apples. I think Golden Delicious will give you the closest copycat taste but I’ve also used Gala and Kanzi apples with success.
- Water
- Corn starch
- Butter: I recommend using unsalted butter if possible. If all you have on hand is salted butter, do salt to taste.
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon and nutmeg
- Salt
๐ช Equipment needed
You will need an 8×8 inch casserole pan for this recipe.

๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ Tips

- Some grocery stores sell pre-cut apple slices if you don’t feel like peeling and slicing apples.
- If you only have salted butter on hand you can use it but you may not need to add any additional salt.
๐ฅก How to store leftovers
Store any leftover apples in an airtight container within your refrigerator. Leftovers will be good for up to four days after making.
๐ Recipe FAQs
Golden Delicious or Gala is what I recommend but really almost any apple that’s not too tart will work.
I don’t recommend freezing these as the texture is strange once you defrost them.
I recommend peeling them to get them to taste closest to the Boston Market version. Some grocery stores have pre-cut apple slices you can buy if you don’t feel like peeling apples.
