💛 Why you’ll love this recipe
These banana pudding brownies are such a fun treat to make. They are a unique dessert and perfect for banana pudding fans!
🍌 Ingredients needed
For the banana pudding brownies, you will need:
- Flour: The base of the brownies.
- Salt: You’ll need just ¼ teaspoon of salt.
- Nutmeg: You’ll need just a tiny bit of nutmeg. It helps bring out the banana flavor.
- Instant French vanilla pudding: Make sure you get Instant and not cook and serve. French vanilla actually works much better than banana pudding for these brownies. Make sure you get the 3.4 ounce box and not the larger one.
- Brown sugar: To sweeten the brownies
- Egg: You’ll need one large egg.
- Butter: I recommend using unsalted butter.
- Bananas: You’ll need two bananas for this recipe. A ripe to mash and put in the brownies and then one yellow banana to slice and top the brownies with.
- Vanilla wafers: I used mini vanilla wafers.
For the vanilla drizzle, you will need:
- Powdered sugar: Also called confectioner’s sugar.
- Milk: I used whole milk.
- Salt: You’ll need just a pinch of salt.
- Vanilla extract: If possible, I recommend that you use pure vanilla extract.

Prepared as directed, then tweaked the recipe with 2 T. nutritional yeast, 1 can white beans, rinsed and pureed, and topped with chopped walnuts. Now a 5-star rating!
Also, its very helpful to list the ingredients in the order in which they’re used.
