This Copycat Cheesecake Factory Ranch is so easy to recreate at home. It is a very smooth ranch dressing with garlic and Parmesan notes. This ranch goes great on a fresh green salad, fried zucchini sticks, or to dip chicken tenders in.

I have been working on this Cheesecake Factory Ranch Recipe for quite some time now. Their ranch is very unique (at least to me) since it doesn’t have any dill taste and there’s definitely some garlic in it. I’ve finally cracked the code (after eating their fried zucchini and side salads multiple times now). I’m so excited to share this copycat recipe with you!

I love making homemade salad dressings. Once you make your own, the bottled stuff just won’t do. Be sure to also check out this Amish Salad Dressing, Mexican Ranch, Copycat Popeye’s Blackened Ranch, and Copycat Buffalo Wild Wing’s Ranch.

❤️ Why you’ll love this recipe
- Taste: This copycat recipe is very close to the restaurant version. Just like the Cheesecake Factory version, it has garlic and Parmesan notes with no dill.
- Easy: This recipe is quick and easy to make! There’s only about five minutes of hands on time then a few minutes for the ranch to chill in the fridge.
- Tested mutliple times: I tested this recipe multiple times to get it just right. At first, I used way too much vegetable base (you need just a little). I also had the best results with store bought buttermilk instead of making my own.
🥣 Ingredients needed
For this recipe, you will need:
- Mayonnaise: I recommend using Duke’s mayonnaise. Be sure to use a full fat mayonnaise and not a light mayonnaise.
- Buttermilk: I recommend using store bought buttermilk for the best results. Shake well before using.
- Vegetable base: Such as Better Than Bouillon. Vegetable base is basically a stock base for soups.
- Parmesan Romano blend cheese: I used shaved cheese because that’s what my grocery store had on hand. You can use shaved or shredded, it will be blended in your food processor.
- Salt and pepper
- Sugar

🥗 What to serve with this recipe
This is a great ranch for fried zucchini, salads, or chicken tenders.
👩🏻🍳 Tips
- Use fresh garlic and Duke’s brand mayonnaise for the best results.
- You may want to add more or less salt and pepper. I recommend doing it to taste.
- Give the dressing about 15 to 20 minutes to rest in your fridge. This will help the flavor come out.
- Shake your buttermilk well before using.
🥡 How to store leftovers
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator. I like to use a mason jar to store mine. The ranch will be good for up to five days after making.
📋 Recipe FAQs
The fresh ingredients really bring out the flavor and the dressing is so much smoother when fresh.
